Overview

To create an app that allows the user to find local restaurants with ease and no hassle. We want the user to feel like it takes little steps to create an account and make an order that is ready to pickup.

My role:

  • Product strategy

  • Wireframes

  • UI Design & Prototyping

  • Illustration/Icon design

Paycrave users need a better way to order food faster

Design Process

  1. Empathize - User Interview

  2. Define - User Persona, user Journey Mapping

  3. Ideate - Brain storming ideas, user flow, sketches

  4. Build - Wireframes, Prototype

  5. Test - Final UI Screens

The Challenge

Fast food restaurants don’t always have the most efficient way to order their food, some apps can be hard to understand and clunky to use. Other restaurant apps can have too many options and can be confusing.

Goal

The primary goal is to understand the users of Paycrave, and provide them a better and more efficient way to order food, so they can enjoy it and save time.

Research

Seeing what is out there

I started to look on the App Store and google to see similar apps and what the competition is. Chipotle and Subway app was a good example to what I wanted this app to be. I found Subway’s app a little clunky and hard to use at times, while Chipotle app was easy to navigate and make an order fast.

Personas

After my research in creating a persona of targeting a specific age group. I referred the persona through the development of the app.

  • The persona focused on the frustrations and goals with the product.

User Journey

I mapped out the users’ steps to see how I could simplify their journey to help them reach their most important goals with the product.

  • Low fidelity or high fidelity?

  • What tool did you use for this?

  • Did you use them for testing?

  • How many iterations did you have?
